Love& Hip-hop has been the highest rated cable reality show for the last 6years in a row but this year the reality show hit a bump on the road and viewership drop by 25 percent averaging 2.06 million viewers, down from 2.74 million last year.
The show that reveals the extravagant and sometimes unbelievable lives of artists and the people around them have given an in-depth look at the lives of some of our favourite rappers and singers.
Some of the include Jim Jones,Juelz Santana, Fabulous,Olivia from the group G unit,Young Joc,Lil Scrappy,Trina,Keyshia Cole,Ray J and has also had breakout stars such as Cardi B and K Michelle.
Critics suggest that the drop in ratings is due to the abrupt exit of Joseline Hernandez’s from Love and Hip hop Atlanta last year after a fallout with Mona Scott Young.
Love and Hip hop encouraged shows such as Kenya’s Nairobi Diaries which has the same theme and target audience.
