Big Winners At The 2018 Emmy Awards

The 70th Primetime Emmy Awards honored the best in U.S. prime time television programming from June 1, 2017 until May 31, 2018, as chosen by the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences.

The most nominations went to the comedy Atlanta and The Handmaid’s Tale both had 8 nominations while The Assasination Of Gianni Versace:American Crime Story had 9 nominations.

The Marvelous Mrs.Maisel took home five awards in the comedy category while The Americans,The Crown and Game Of Thrones took home 2 awards each in the drama category.The Assassination Of Gianni Versace: American Crime Story took home 3 awards in the Limited/Movie category.

Best Actor In A Comedy Series went to Bill Harder for his role in Barry while Best Actress In A Comedy Series went to actress Rachel Brosnahan for her role in The Marvelous Mrs Maisel.

Best Actor In A Drama Series went to Matthew Rhys for his role in The Americans while Best Actress In A Drama Series went to Claire Foy for her role in The Crown.

The Assassination Of Gianni Versace: American Crime Story took Most Outstanding Limited Series with lead actor Darren Criss taking home Best Actor In A Limited Series.

Regina King took home Best Actress In A Limited Series for her role in Seven Seconds while Ru Paul from Ru Paul’s Drag Race took Most Outstanding Talk Show Host beating Ellen Degenerous and Heidi Klum.

Ru Paul’s Drag Race took home Best Competition Program while Best Animation went to Robot Chicken.

The ceremony was held live on September 17, 2018, at the Microsoft Theater in Downtown Los Angeles, California and was hosted by Michael Che and Colin Jost from Saturday Night Live.
