Forbes Releases List Of World’s Highest-Paid Entertainers

Forbes today released the top 100 highest paid celebrities list and leading the pack was Floyd Mayweather who is currently the richest celebrity in the world.He was paid 285 million dollars for his fight with McGregor in 2017 and earned an extra 10 million from endorsements.

Coming in at second is George Clooney who sold his Casa amigos tequilla company for 700million on top of his earnings as an actor.Kylie Jenner the youngest female on the list brought home 900million for her cosmetic line Kylie Cosmetics.

Judge Judy and Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson took fourth and fifth place earning 400 and 125 million respectively.

The highest paid footballers are Lionel Messi who took position 8 and Christiano Ronaldo took position 10.Messi is paid a salary of 84 million with 27million in endorsements.

Christiano’s current contract with Real Madrid is set to pay him over $50 million for the next three years through to his 36th birthday. His lifetime Nike contract is worth upward of $1 billion.

He has an array of other deals including Herbalife, EA Sports and American Tourister, along with a growing line of CR7 branded products including shoes, underwear, fragrance, jeans, a children’s line (for which he models with his son), a line of hotels and soon-to-open restaurants in Brazil. He remains the most popular athlete in the world with 322 million social media followers.

Neymar took position 14, the Brazilian superstar signed a five-year contract with Paris Saint-Germain worth a total cash outlay of more than $600 million. Of that, $250 million was paid to his former club Barcelona to release him from his contract there.

The remaining $350 million will be paid in salary through his playing contract that lasts until June 2022. The 26-year-old works off the pitch with global sponsors Nike, Red Bull, Gillette, McDonalds and Beats by Dre. He was the first soccer player to have his own custom Air Jordan sneakers made by the Swoosh.

Coldplay and Ed Sheeran took position 7 and 9 respectively with Coldplay bringing in 500million from their worldwide tour.

Bruno Mars took position 11 and brought in 250 million from his 24k magic world tour.Jay z and Kim Kardashian taking position 25 and 30 respectively.

Kim brought generated $100 million in sales from her KKW beauty line since June 2017, thanks to popular contouring kits and perfumes.Her fortune is derived from the value of KKW Beauty and cash earned from more than a decade in the public eye.

Beyonce took position 35 on the list.The On The Run II stadium tour with husband Jay-Z is grossing roughly $5 million per night with Jay-Z and other musicians including Madonna, Beyonce owns a piece of streaming service Tidal.The value of her Tidal stake soared when Sprint invested $200 million for a reported 33% of the company in early 2017.

The biggest drop is from Sean Diddy Combs who dropped from position 3 to position 35.After topping last year’s list on the strength of his Bad Boy Family Reunion Tour and the sale of a chunk of his Sean John equity, Diddy is still making a healthy living thanks largely to a beverage empire that includes Ciroc vodka, DeLeon tequila and Aquahydrate alkaline water.

The world’s 100 top-earning entertainers pulled in a combined $6.3 billion pretax over the past 12 months, up 22% from last year; eleven superstars crossed the $100 million threshold, more than double the number from the last two years combined.
