Whitney Houston’s Documentary Now In Theatres Near You

Whitney Houston’s documentary dropped yesterday and so far it has gotten great reviews.

The first ever documentary to be approved by her estate is called Whitney and shows never before footage of the legend.It also shares interviews and revelations from her family.

The movie is produced by her sister-in-law Pat Houston and according to her the hardest part of producing the show was telling Whitney’s mother Cissy Houston that her daughter and son were sexually abused when they were younger.

According to Pat, Whitney and her brother were abused by their cousin Dede Warick when their mum was on tour. Whitney was abused for 2years between the ages of six and nine.Dede has since passed away.

According to the documentary the abuse led to Whitney’s drug addiction. Several documentaries have been released so far and this one has gotten the best reception from audiences.

Whitney is written and directed by Kevin Macdonald. It was screened out of competition at the 2018 Cannes Film Festival and was released yesterday by Roadside Attractions and Miramax.

On review aggregator website Rotten Tomatoes, the film holds an approval rating of 90% based on 80 reviews, and an average rating of 7.4/10.
