Uhuru takes the lead in presidential race

Kenyans woke up this morning to find President Uhuru Muigai Kenyatta leading in the presidential polls in a neck to neck race with former prime minister Raila Amollo Odinga.

Esther Muthoni Passaris took the lead defeating Rachel shebesh with over ten thousand votes while Mike mbuvi sonko is currently leading in the Nairobi gubernatorial race with the incumbent Evans Kidero lagging behind.

Former Cabinet Secretary Anne Waiguru is currently ahead in the Kirinyaga gubernatorial race with Martha karua trailing behind.

Incumbent Bungoma Governor Kenneth Lusaka  is set to lose to Wycliffe Wamagati in the Bungoma gubernatorial race.

Fernidand Waititu has a commanding lead over incumbent governor William kabogo in the kiambu gubernatorial race.

Isaac Ruto is set to lose to Joyce Laboso in the Bomet gubernatorial race while nandi county is set the usher in the youngest governor.

Kiraitu Murungi is set to send incumbent Meru governor Peter Munya home in the Meru gubernatorial race.

The National Super Alliance has accused IEBC of violating section 34A of the constitution accusing the commission of releasing results that have not been verified.

Jubilee spokesman Raphael Tuju has clapped back at the accusations asking the public to follow the results closely and rubbished the accusations made by NASA.

The Independent electrol boundaries commission chose to reveal  results in real time through  their website.

So far results from  37514 have been tallied out of 40883 polling stations.366961 votes have been rejected,this has been blamed on illiterate voters.

Yesterday 19 611 423 million voters went to the polls to chose their leaders for the next five years.
