Keffa Aswani’s major comeback to Harambee Stars

Former AFC Leopards striker Keffa Aswani has finally made a comeback to the National soccer team Harambee Stars that will rumble against Mozambique on September 2 in an International friendly clash in Maputo.

The Nakumatt striker was drafted by head coach Stanley Okumbi in his latest 19 man locally assembled squad ahead of the tie the first since
losing to Sierra Leone in an AFCON Qualifiers back in June. Aswani has
so far  scored six goals this season for his club Nakumatt FC in the
Kenyan Premier League (KPL).

Also making a comeback is Ulinzi Stars left back Omar Mbongi  and
Gor Mahia winger George ‘Backberry’ Odhiambo who has been on a good form for his club this season.

New caps in the team include Bernard Ochieng and Joe Waithera from Vihiga United and Wazito FC respectively .The duo have been in superb form in the National Super League (NSL).
The players  are set to report to camp on Sunday August 20 August at the Kenya School of Monetary Studies (KSMS) grounds before departing for Mozambique on Thursday  August 31  In the first leg played  at Kasarani, Harambee Stars  won with a solitary goal that was  scored by Sweden based Eric Johanna.Full Squad,
